Welcome to the Villa Lante Center!

Since 1837, Villa Lante in Rome has been one of the most important historic properties of the Society of the Sacred Heart, the religious congregation founded by Sainte Madeleine Sophie Barat, now present in over 40 countries. Since 2020, Villa Lante has undergone a major renovation and has been revitalized as a Center for Religious and Lay Formation in the heart of the Italian capital.

Our historic structure is immersed in a centuries-old park. Here you can bring the programs you have designed and organized for your stay in Rome or find activities and training courses organized by us. In the house you can take advantage of multimedia rooms, and social rooms to relax in. There is a pleasant dining room for breakfast, a Church and four smaller chapels. We have single, double or triple rooms to welcome our guests with modern standards of comfort such as air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms.

Villa Lante Center is located in the heart of Trastevere, near the Vatican City, one of the most characteristic areas of the city within close distance to important places such as St. Peter's Basilica, Castel Sant'Angelo, Piazza Navona, the Roman Forum and the Colosseum, just to name a few of the most famous attractions.

From our large park you will have a spectacular view of the city and you will feel as if you were on a quiet island in the center of one of the great European capitals.

The staff of Villa Lante Center is made up of a group of creative and enthusiastic religious and lay people, at your service to build together a memorable spiritual and cultural experience during your visit to Rome. We will be happy to answer all your requests for information about our home!
